Headed for cooler weather.
I’ve grown tired of the 95 degree heat and feels like temperatures of 105 to 100 degrees, so I’ve packed up the RV and headed north for the mountains of North Carolina and Virginia. The first two days I have spent putting on mileage (700) on mostly highways. Total interstate mileage probably less than 75.
Day2 finds me in Travelers Rest, SC and at the foothills of the Appalachians. I will leave you with the following.
The Men That Don’t Fit In by Robert Service
There is a race of men that don’t fit in,
A race that can’t stand still,
So they break the hearts of kith and kin,
And they roam the world at will.
They range the fields and rove the flood,
And they claim the mountain’s crest,
There is the curse of the gypsy blood,
And they don’t know how to rest.
