Responsible for performing technical and administrative work in the development, application, and maintenance of network hardware, software and building infrastructure, hardware and data backup systems, preparedness planning, emergency shelter deployment and Tier-3 technical support.
- Local and wide area network operating systems support: Responsible for maintenance, support, assessment and troubleshooting of the local and wide area networks. Duties include but are not limited to maintain high network availability, provide user access including additions and deletions, conduct on-going system audits to evaluate the utility and efficiency of the system’s hardware, software, and communications components, provide and maintain daily backup data, troubleshoot network connectivity problems provide routine maintenance as required.
- Personal Computers: Responsible for the configuration, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all personal computers, workstations, laptop computers, printers, and all other associated hardware; also, installation of all operating system and user required software on the PC. Duties include but are not limited to coordinating with administration for acquisition of hardware, software and services (including maintenance), evaluates and selects software applications when appropriate.
- User Assistance: Consults with users and conducts information assessments to determine user’s needs. Provides support for software applications including installation of updates, routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Security Coordination: Responsible for the coordination of the security of information for the purposes of protecting confidentiality, data integrity and appropriate access to information.
- Performs annual security assessment. Performs annual Schedule IV-C assessment. Prepares disaster recovery plans for Lee County and tests at least one system annually. Configure and install Emergency Preparedness remote site systems for use at the Special Needs Shelters.
